Send

The mission of MZUMC is to make and mature disciples of Christ for the transformation of the world. We do this through a discipleship process that consists of three simple elements.

Element three is SEND.

As people visit MZ, become immersed in the educational opportunities and small groups, and experience our joyful worship, they will find that they want to do more. We will SEND them out to do God’s work in our world. We believe that to truly be an active follower of Christ requires us to take seriously the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20) – to go and make disciples of all nations. Indeed we are participating in both local mission (e.g., Urban Vision, Akron) and mission across the world (e.g., Cuba). We believe it is our responsibility to help others and that by doing so we are serving our Lord and bringing others to Him so that He can make them disciples.
