“Truly, I tell you, just as you did it to one of the least of these who are members of my family, you did it to me.”(Matthew 25:40) At Montrose Zion, we are involved in global missions because we believe that God uses them to shape us, to change our hearts, and to grow and mature our faith. We learn that being involved in missions is not to make us feel good about ourselves, but to serve as Jesus did…without hesitation and with a loving heart for those we touch.
Please help our mission to Haiti by donating medical supplies, craft items, clothes (especially boys) and sports equipment! See the handouts in the Gathering Area for lists of requested items or click on the image below. We're also accepting financial donations for our "buy local" initiative. Just put "Haiti" on the memo line of your check or outside of the envelope for cash donations. Thank you for your support!

Through FirstGiving, we hope to be able to raise more funds so that we can do more in the world to support our Invite, Show, Send model. All donations made through this site are fully tax-deductible, and MZUMC will use 100% of the funds we receive through this website to support our missions locally and around the world
The East Ohio Conference is accepting Japan earthquake & tsunami relief funds through UMCOR. If people want to assist Japan, please mark your envelopes with Japan Earthquake or UMCOR and we will direct the funds.

A group from Montrose Zion just recently returned from a mission trip to Haiti on July 8, 2011. Take a look at the video below. If you are interested in going or would like more information on a future trip, please contact Steve Nuzzo.
Montrose Zion took its first mission trip to Cuba in June 2008 and most recently in September 2009. We plan to make one or two trips annually.
We are working with the Cuba Connection Ministry which serves Cubans in the central region of Cuba. Why Cuba? We believe that, though currently having a communist government, the people of Cuba are very open to hearing and seeing the word of God at work in their lives. We are helping by sponsoring a seminary and teaching there, working with a Christian music academy, working with a group of handicapped children and their families, and helping provide assistance to Cubans through a farm owned by Cuba Connection Ministry. We believe that actively participating in global missions is a way to grow and strengthen our church family as well as respond to Jesus’ call to take his Word to the ends of the earth.
