Please help our mission to Haiti by donating medical supplies, craft items, clothes (especially boys) and sports equipment! See the handouts in the Gathering Area for lists of requested items or click on the image below. The deadline for donations is February 7. We're also accepting financial donations for our "buy local" initiative. Just put "Haiti" on the memo line of your check or outside of the envelope for cash donations. Thank you for your support!

Thanks to all who contributed to our Soles4Souls shoe collection. Together we gathered 768 pairs of shoes which will be shared worldwide with those in need thru the Soles4Souls organization. It’s great to see what we can do together. Let’s extend our efforts by praying for those who will receive the shoes.

• Microloan organizations exist to provide small business loans ($100-$250) to citizens who cannot qualify for a loan from a bank. MEDIC operates by forming small clusters of five guarantors, or a Micro Loan Group. Each person guarantees the loans of the other four group members. Approximately eight of these groups form a Trust Bank. • MEDIC's theory of repayment is strongly connected to social pressure to keep your word among your peers. MEDIC has a 100% repayment rate. • Once the group is assembled, they attend 12 training sessions in micro-business management. • They will be trained how to manage inventory and employees. Also, how to make their shop better than others on the same block -- giving them a competitive advantage. • After the 12 training sessions, they will receive their loans in two payments. • This is an amazing opportunity to help change lives for the better and I hope that you are as excited about the possibilities as I am. Have you wanted to participate in missions but just can’t finance it? The Mission Team is considering granting scholarships to those who truly cannot afford to participate in missions, but who have a desire to serve God either overseas or somewhere closer to home. These scholarships would provide a portion of the funds needed to go on a mission or to help with the costs of serving in a missional way, and an application would be required in order to be considered for a scholarship. For more information, please contact Sylvia Chinn-Levy at schinnlevy@hotmail.com or 330.668.6578.
If you haven’t been receiving our weekly eNewsletter, please contact Connie in the church office with your email address. To keep up on all the latest happenings, please read your worship folder or if you miss a Sunday, you can find the most recent worship folder on our web site under “Sunday Experience”.
