Prayer Ministry: Pursuing God and responding to Him through prayer

The Prayer Ministry provides opportunities for members of the congregation to come before God to worship, give thanks, seek His will and intercede for the ministries of Montrose Zion UMC, individuals, our community, and the world.  We want to listen to God and join Him in the ministry He has planned for us.

Opportunities to share in the Prayer Ministry

Prayer Chain:

The Prayer Chain contact person receives requests from staff and congregants for prayer and initiates the chain.

Intercessory Prayer Team:
Team members meet in the Prayer Room on Wednesdays at 5:30 pm before Montrose Zion’s EDEN Eve dinner to pray for our church leaders and upcoming events.  Note:  The Team takes a hiatus when EDEN Eve is out of session.

Prayer Room:

The Prayer Room exists for the use of the congregation and staff.  It provides a quiet place to meet with God.  Resources on prayer are available.  Prayer requests may be submitted using pre-printed cards.  Prayer requests are prayed for by anyone who wishes to use the room.

Prayer Request:

Any prayer request that you may have, you can write them on the back of a Communication Card (which can be found at the back of each pew) and be placed in the offering plate, or give them to an usher.

Training/Educational Opportunities:

Because we value a deep and committed personal and corporate Spirit-led prayer life, classes to enhance spiritual development and special events, such as vigils, are developed and offered periodically.

If you would like to be involved in any of these ministries or have questions, please contact the church at (330)665-9817. Please see our Prayer Ministry Brochure by clicking here.
